How to fix Active Desktop Recovery error message?
To fix an Active Desktop Recovery Script error click Start followed by Run and type regedit into the box. Select HKEY CURRENT USER followed by Software, Microsoft, IE, Desktop and SafeMODE. After selecting components, the value of DeskHtmlVersion should be set to 0 and the settings saved before closing the registry.
If you are getting the "Active Desktop Recovery" error message at Startup, then follow the below procedure:
- Click on Start> Run > type "regedit".
- Expand the following key:
- HKEY CURRENT USER ->Software -> Microsoft - > internet Explorer -> Desktop -> SafeMODE -> components
