Agreement with Robi
A lease agreement for Transmission Capacity services was
signed between Bangla Phone Limited (BPL) and Robi Axiata Limited, a
leading Mobile Phone Operator, on May 14, 2013. Under this agreement BPL
is providing Dark OFC and end-to-end transmission connectivity with
last-mile solution in the form of bandwidth capacity to Robi.
Robi is the third leading telecommunication company in Bangladesh
that offers complete cellular services to its subscribers. No doubt, the
launching date of Robi in Bangladesh is not very old, but it is the
first mobile company that introduced GPRS in the country for the first
time.
Before it, there were also some
cellular companies in Bangladesh, but Robi was pioneer that launched
GPRS facility to its customers via mobile. Like all other mobile service
providers, Robi also offers many cheap call rates and sms charges to
its prepaid customers in the form of following packages.
